They are eonsidered very satisfactory, though the preliminary announcement is not expected for some weeks.—(A. and N.Z.) (Received 25, 11.10 a.m.) Sydney, Sept. 25. Professor Begg, Otago, expects good results from eclipse observations, but thinks the stars nearer tho sun’s edge may have been recorded lesf clearly in consequence of the dimming effect of the extraordinary bright carona.
