At the Napier Police Court this morning William Lee was charged with being an idle and disorderly person in that he had insufficient lawful means of support. Lee pleaded not guilty. Sen-ior-Sergeant O’Halloran said the man had gone to Air Williams' residence nt Pukehou and had asked for food and used threatening behaviour. Some shearers came to the rescue, and the police were sent for. After lengthy argument, Lee decided to plead guilty as he said it would be no good him going to Waipawa for trial. It was stated that the man was really William Snow. Ho had been medically examined for mentality. Afr Dyer, S.M., said the accused’s record was a bad one and he would be sent to hard labour in gaol for three months. Accused said: “Thank you, Sir, thank you," and left the court under escort.
