AN INVESTITURE.

DECORATIONS PRESENTED. CEREMONY ATGOVERNMENT HOUSE. An investiture was held at Government House on Saturday evening, when His Excellency the GovernorGeneral knighted ai/d invested the Hon Sir Maui Pomare, C.M.G.. as a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, handed Letters Patent of Knighthood to the Hon. Sir Walter Carncross and Sir James H. B. Coates, and presented certain other decorations to those entitled to receive them.
