Gill Bros. —Full details of the timber ’and iron sale are advertised on page 8. The salvage sale at the site of the recent fire in Station street, Hastings, takes place at 1.30 p.m. to-morrow (Wednesday), when Beard, Bullen and Co. will sell an enormous quantity of really, good corrugated iron and timber. Most of the iron has only been scorched and a large proportion or the timber is quite suitable for buildings. Homo dressmaking will be in full swing this week, with the simple yet becoming styles now in vogue every lady is enabled to add to her wardrobe at very little cost; a special display of ■fashionable dress fabrics will be found at Bairds’, leading drapers and mercers. It merits attention by reason of its delightful freshness and novelty. The wealth of choice is almost bewildering, and the standard of value irresist* able.
