HASTINGS HOMING CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the above club has been held, when the report and balance sheet was presented and adopted. The club is on a good financial footing and the membership is stronger than ever. There is a good programme before the club this year and the special prize list is growing fast. The first race of the season was flown on Saturday last from Wellington. Results:—Mr. W. A. Alexander’s Lord Evans, 3hrs. 22mins. 7sec., Ist; Mr. W. A. Alexander’s Balalie, 3.22.7., 2nd ; Mr W. A. Alexander’s The Times, 3.22.7, 3rd. Also flew: Di\ Wilson. 2 birds, 3.22.57; Mr. A. Hixon, blue cock, 3.21.27; Mr. J. E. Sands, blue hen, 3.24.42; Mr. L. Orchard, blue ch. cock, 3.26.25; Mr. V. Wall, blue ch. cock, 3.27.32; Mr. J. Brunton, black cock, 3.28.14. First prize, large jardineer presented by Mr. Christie; second prize, cash. Pool won by J. E. sands. Forty-five birds completed in good weather. •
