DEAD MAN IN A DINGHY.

SUPPOSED CASE OF SUICIDE. Auckland, Sept. 14. The body found in the dinghy yesterday was that of John Henry Rochfort, aged 53, master of the scow Kaiaia. It was stated at the inquest that he left the \essel on Tuesday afternoon to get the pay for his men. When seen in the dinghy he was asked where he was going, and he replied i “To do a little private business.” He ' had a pea rifle in his cabin, but one could not be found when a search was made after the body was found. The wound on deceased’s temple had evidently been caused by a small bullet. There were bullets found of .22 calibre in deceased’s pocket. The inquest was adjourned for a post-mortem.
