METROPOLITAN SHOW, 1922.

The Metropolitan Spring Show of • the Wellington province will this year j be held on Wednesday. Thursda, and j Friday, Ist, 2nd, and 3rd of November 5 next, at the Palmerston North Show ' Grounds. The prize schedules are now out, and prove, as usual, to be very i extensive, containing numerous tro- ; phies, cups, and cash specials. This exhibition of stock is well known . throughout the Dominion, and breeders 1 come from ail parts of the North and South Islands, it not all as exhibitors, - as very interested visitors. The classes i for the Romneys in natural condition having been such a success, attracting i many entries each time, the committee . this year has introduced similar classes r for the Southdowns, which classes, it is to be hoped, will meet with equal f success. Numerous new ring events J have been added, which include tan- ’ uem leaping competition, tilting the ring, musical stalls, and a bending - competition; these are ail in addition to the mauleji and qualified hunters’ i competitions, leaping (steeplechase style), and ladies’ hunters’ competi- ‘ tion. There will be two wire jumpers* classes, one fur the ladies, which so far lia-s not been included in previous programmes. : It is in conjunction with the Spring Show that the Manawatu Kennel Club • hold their annual exhibition, and this • year the N.Z. Kennel Club has granted an all championship show. It is hoped that the numerous canine lovers of ‘ both Islands will not miss this splendid » opoprtunity of sending their pets to i compete. .
