HAUMOANA.

(Own Correspondent.) The monthly meeting of the Haumoana Beach Improvement Committee ' was held at the residence of Mr. D. H. Mills on Wednesday evening. Pre- > sent: Messrs. G. E. The chairman announced that a sum had been collected from several owners 1 towards the proposal and the counuiti tee was asked to assist. Ur. Rathie agreed to expedite the widening of the present road giving ( access to the beach, also to procure > metal for the right-of-way leading from the plantation sections to the ’ main street. 1 The meeting decided to organise a working bee on Labour Day, to complete works now in progress.
