The tote handled £25,894. against £33,408 for the first day last year. The following are the concluding results:— Wanganui Guineas. — Highland 1, Rapine 2, Triermain 3. Also started: Zouave, Enthusiasm. Won by a length. Time, 1.46 3-5. Durie Hack.—Cochineal 1, Wake Up 2, Uleaborg 3. Won bv a length and a half. Time, 1.16 4-5. Spring Handicap. — Admiral Codrington 1, Haurangi 2, Trespass 3. Won by a length. * Time. 1.49 2-5. Flying Handicap.—Rational 1, Wrangle 2, Thespian and Lucius, dead heat, 3. Won by half a length. Time, 1.15. HAWKE’S BAY JOCKEY CLUB. SPRING MEETING. Nominations, also forfeits for the Hawke’s Bay Guineas and Hastings Stakes, close with the secretary (Mr. H. S. Moss) this evening at 8 o’clock.
