STOP-WORK MEETINGS.
CAUSE SERIOUS LOSS. Wellington September 14. Evidence in the Yvhterside Arbitration case to-day dealt with stop-work meetings. » Thomas Munt. carrier, said threefourths of his driving staff was idled by such meetings, which cost the master carriers of Wellington about £6O an hour. A. W. Press said they delayed discharge of fruit, causing sales to be missed, and serious depreciation of fruit. They also dislocated and curtailed business generally.
