H.B. HYDRO-ELECTRITY.
CONFERENCE IN WELLINGTON. In addition to waiting on the Miipster for Public Works to endeavour to forward Hawke’s Bay’s claims for electricity from Waikaremoana the local bodies’ deputation _to see the Minister on September 27th in Wellington will also be represented at the conference of Power Boards called at the instigation of the Minister, and which will sit in Parliamentary. Building on the same day. All bodies concerned have been asked to forward remits either from the boards by resolution or from individual members. Representation at the conference will be limited to two for each body but other members will be permitted to attend as onlookers. The invitation states that “each constituted board may exercise two votes.” As there is no constituted board in Northern Hawke’s Bay it mav be questioned whether representatives will be entitled to vote on matters brought before the conference.
