(Received 12, 1.50 p.m.) London, Sept. 11. Ihe Central News Agency understands that there will be a meeting of Allied diplomats to discuss the situation .including the threat to Constantinople. Conversations have already opened. Mr. Lloyd George is still in the country, but is keeping in touch with the Foreign Office. (Received 12, 1.50 p.m.) . Paris, Sept. 11. hollowing the entry of Turkish troops into Smyrna, a panic broke out among the Greeks, but order was restored. Despite Turkish commanders undertaking not to permit excesses, looting occurred early in the evening, though it is not clear whether the soldiers or the lower elements of the population are responsible. Turkish officers stopped it. Allied detachments landed with the concurrence of the Turkish commander. These now’ patrol the city, which is quite orderly. The Greeks, before evacuating, removed the archives and all bullion obtain a hie. —(A. and N.Z.)
