EIGHT-HOUR DAY ABANDONED. P.aris, Sept. 10. M. Millerand, receiving a Seamen’s Federation deputation, announced the abandonment of the eight-hour day, owing to the refusal of foreign nations to follow France's lead. —(A. and N.Z.)
