TO-MORROW’S BIG RACE. THE FINAL TOUCHES. Wanganui, January 4. Tlie weather is delightfully fine, and there is every prqspect of its continuing so for tu-niorrow’s race for the world's sculling championship. Arnsl and Hadfield both say they are very fit, and each man appears confident. Hadfield finished up his training yesterday with a steady row over a couple of miles, and is resting to-day. Arnst was out twice yesterday, and again to-day. when he did a good row over the lun course, lie win have a short spin to-morrow morning. ihe opinions appear well divided as to the probable result. The improvement Hadfield has recently made and his advantage in youth has made him many trinds. Arnst is in great fettle, and should be capable of reproducing the most oi ins oid form, so a big race is expected. Hie race starts at 3.30 p.m.
