TRIANGULAR TEAMS' MATCH. DAY AT TUTAEKURI.
Napier, Taradale and Waipukftirau riflemen spent a pleasant day on the Tutaekuri range yesterday, when a triangular teams match * was fired. Lunch was provided by a band of ladies, and was much enjoyed. The match was fired over 300, <5OO and 600 yards. The scoring was not high on account of a trying variable wind. Napier A team secured the highest points, with Napier B next and then Waipukurau A, Taradale, Waipukurau B and Napier C. On announcement of the result cheers were given for the respective teams, and also for the ladies. The following are the scores:— NAPIER A. 300 500 600
TRENTHAM MEETING
Wellington, January 3. At the Wellington Rifle Association’s meeting at Trentham several ex-cham-pions. R. J. King (Opaki) Captain Masefield (Marlborough), and Arthur Ballinger (the veteran from the Petone Club) competed. In the Midfield aggregate Rifleman Hunt (Suburbs) won with a score of 139. D, Guiney (Po tone) was runer-up with 138. Sim monds (Wanganui) also scored 138. ir, an extra match Rifleman Spencer (Suburbs) made the top score. 800yds.—Pres. Marshall (Karori) 49, Weir (Petone) 48, Guinel (Petone) 46. 900yds.—Webb (Karori) 47, Spencer (Suburbs). Championship aggregate. — Guiney (Petone) 262, Simmonds (Wanganui) 254, Butler (Karori) 249, Masefield (Marlborough) 248. Teams Match.—Petone.
