JEWEL ROBBERIES.

SENSATION IN LONDON. London, October 16. Tho police have unearthed a plot showing that an organised gang of jewel thieves has begun operations in London. The gang includes men and women known to have education, ability, and supcrcunning. Investigations of recent large robberies resulted in sensational revelations in proof that tho thieves were directed by men of high social standing, some actually in Court circles. Their identity is well known, but it is impossible at present to secure convicting evidence. —(A. and N.Z.)
