CHURCH SERVICES.
At the Hastings Baptist Church tomorrow Rev T. Keith Ewen will take for his morning’s address, “Faith the Antidote for Pessimism.” For his evening address the subject will be ::The Story of a Woman’s Love.” Communion is to follow tho evening service. The Presbyterian Church arc holding special services to-morrow for “Tho Youth of the Church Day.” There will be a choir of the young people. Tho Rev P. Ramsay takes the morning and afternoon services. Mr T. A. Garry takes the evening service. The Rev. A. Mcßcan will conduct the morning service at tho Methodist Church, Hastings, to-morrow, and Mr H. R. French will preach in the evening. Mr Mcßcan will also conduct services at Whakatu at 3 p.m., and at Pakowhai at 7 p.m. To-morrow evening at 7 o’clock the address to be given in the Orange Hall. , Lyndon road, will be designed to show ' the contrast between the Bible and the popular belief that Christ died as a substitute for sinners, and also to 1 expose the truth nullifying teachings of Rusellism in regard to the universal opportunity doctrine. There is no subject more widely discussed to-day than the conditions of the. earth during the great 1000 years’ 1 period of the Bible, commonly known as “The Millennium.” Its significant aiid consequent effect upon the world wilL bo fully discussed at the lecture , in the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sunday night.
