MEEANEE.
(Own Correspondent). A short time ago Meeanee seemed to be losing all claim to being called a township, but a turn for the better has lately been made, as a blacksmith’s shop and a butchery business are now m full swing. The district is looking well .the usual greenness of this time of tho year being very evident. We are having several severe frosts, but they do not seem to affect the growth of grass or the early blossoms on the fruit trees. The local school has a roll number of 55: and as a committee was a 0” elected at the meeting of householders. the hoard appointed Messrs C. Oliver and P. Parsons ss joint commissioners. Miss Meta Parsons is on a holiday visit to Hamilton.
