DUNEDIN SESSION. Dunedin, Aug. 15. The criminal sittings commenced today. True bills were returned against all four accused, the most serious charge being that of attempted murder of Alfred James I’ottinger, preferred against Chas. Howard Tipping. The offence allegedly occurred on the oversea steamer Mabia last May. Francis Paranthorne, who pleaded guilty to assaulting Henry Sexton, causing him bodily harm, was released on probation for three years, on condition of his taking out a prohibition order and paying the costs, £l4 7s Id, within one year.
