RIOT IN SHEFFIELD.
UNEMPLOYED DEMONSTRATION. London, Aug. 14. Thousands of unemployed at Sheffield demonstrated against the inadequacy of the relief. They attempted to capture the Town Hall. The police, using truncheons freely, dispersed the crowds, which in retreating smashed windows in adjoining streets.—(Reuter).
