COVERED COURT CHAMPIONSHIPS. London, April 15. In the covered coatis Lycett defeated von Braun, 4—6, 6—3, B—4.—(A.8 —4.—(A. and N.Z.) (Received 16, 10.45 a.m.) London, April 14. Tn the covered courts tennis tournament, Davson and Mavrogordatc beat F. M. b. Fisher and W. Botstord, 3—6, 6—2, 6—3, 6—2. in the semi-finals of the mixed doubles, Fisher and Mrs. Peacock beat G. Sherrell and Miss Holman, <s—l, (5—4. The Lycett—von Braun match was the best contest seen in the championships. Braun’s driving was of the hurricane variety, both forehand and bacqIbn nd. He volleyed- excellently and served high, kicking the American delivery, which fully tested Lycett’s powers of return.—(Reuter.)
