/ WAIPAWA COMPETITION. A further stage was advanced in the senior competition for the Hunter Shield on Saturday last, when tho Waipawa team met a_ Tikokino combination on the Waipawa ground. A fortnight ago the Onga Onga and Waipawa teams were level with 6 points each, but as the former lost to Tikokino on the following Saturday, _ the game of last Saturday evoked considerable interest. A win was registered fer Waipawa, the game ending 11 to nd. In a junior game played at. Tikokino between Waipawa and Tikokino, Waipawa were victorious by 6 to 3.
