HAVELOCK NORTH BAZAAR.

FUNDS FOR PUBLIC.BATHS. A well-attended public meeting was held in the Town Board office last evening, to make arrangements for the big iiazaar to be held in August to raise funds for the public baths. Air. T. Holmes occupied the chair. The business of the meeting consisted of arranging committees to run the various stalls. Each committee will work independently, arranging its own collecting, etc. etc. The following ladies agreed to take charge of stalls, and will welcome assistance :—Plain stall: Mesdames Hamp ,on. Sefton and AVaugh; Fancy stall: firs J. Phillips and Aliss Claridge; Art stal: Afisses Black, AlcPhee and Campbell; Sweet stall: Senior girls pubic school (undei- direction of Aliss Brann; Jumble stall: Mr. C. Aleads, and Airs Cook; Live stock and produce stall: Havelock football club (under „ha direction of Air. J. 11. Joll) ; Tea stall: Airs G. Satchwell and Airs G. riorn; Preserves and cake stall: Airs Blank and Airs S Graham. Other stalls will be allotted later on. The circulars recently sent out are being returned with promises of excellent support, and when all are in, they will be sorted and sent to the various stall-holders. it was decided to run a children’s Queen Carnival in connection witn the oazaar, and candidates (under 12 years) may be nominated up to Saturday June 5 th.

The ladies controlling the plain fancy .'.nd sweets stalls are holding a children’s plain and fancy dress party on July 2, children to have the floor till 10 p.m., and idults, from 10 to 1. The work of organising the bazaar js in the hands of Air. P. Sefton, who will he assisted by an executive, con■isting of Messrs T.Holmes , J. Nimon, G. Estaugh, E. Leicester, G. Harvey, I. Berry, E. Phillips, and A. Toop. The bazaar is to be held in the village hall on August 25th., 26th. and 27. Aliss Brann and Mr. P. Sefton will act as an entertainment committee. .
