INGENIOUS ATTEMPT TO HIDE , EVIDENCE. W'hen the Hungarian police raided the Cafe Abbazia in Budapest in search of illicit dealers in foregm money, a Well-known Vienna “schieber” (illicit dealer) was among those in the cafe. His money was lying on a table. Unable to hide it away, he seized a small bundle of Rumanian 500 lei banknotes and began to swallow had successfully devoured about three banknotes, when the police observed him, and hauled him away to the police station before ne could finish bis novel meal.
