HOME TEAM’S EASY VICTORY.

Christchurch, Jan. 3. The match between the Canterbury Second eleven and the Hawke’s Bay team was concluded to-dav in ideal weather. The second day’s left the northerners in a dess position, and very little interest was taken in to-day’s . play. The visitors gave rather a lifeless display of batting, and were all out for 165, Canterbury winning by an innings and 156 tuns. Scores: — HAWKE’S BAY.
