SOVIET AND ESTHONIA.

A MONTH’S ARMISTICE.

'London, Jan. 2.

The “Daily Chronicle’s” Dorpat correspondent witnessed oft December 31 the signature of the treaty between Soviet Russia and Esthonia for the cessation of hostilities. This technically means only a week’s armistice, terminable thereafter at twenty-four houre’ notice, but it actually means a month, as the Estbonian Assembly cannot ratify the treaty before February. The interval will enable the Esthonians to fest the Bolshevist professions of fraternity. The agreement recognises Esthonia’s entire independence of Soviet Russia.—(A. and N.Z-)
