LABOUR FEDERATION URGES GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION. Auckland, Aug. 17. The Executive of the United Federation of Labour passed a resolution expressing the opinion that it is the duty of Government to insist that a conference on the coal dispute shall take place and that Government has abundant powers to do this.
