At Napier yesterday a conference was held between the Wool Merchants and the IVool and Gram Workers’ Union, Mr. AV. H. Dagger, 1 Conciliation Commissioner, presiding. Endeavours were made to arrive ‘ a ; o. a satisfactory basis tor a new' award, the old one haying expired.! No agreement was arrived at.
