! ST. AUGUSTINE’S BRANCH. sA SUCCESSFUL JUMBLE SALE. Yesterday the St. Augustine’s Branch of the G.F.S. (Napier) held a most successful jumble sale in St. Augustine’s Hall. As on previous occasions there was an exceptionally attractive assortment of articles for sale at the various stalls, and busi'nes was brisk, both at the afternoon and evening sessions. The sale was liberally patronised, especialy in the afterlnoon. All the arrangements were most capably supervised by the secretary, Miss M. AVhite, and an interesting series of competitions lent additional attraction to the salt?.. Altogether, the sale was quite, if not more successful than its predecessors. The stallholders were as under :—Cakes, Mrs McFarlane and Miss King; sweets, Misses Williamson, Sorrell and Fenton; produce. Mesdames Robinson and Jenkins; flowers. Misses Bond and Chegwidden; jumble, Mesdames Hooper, Rice and Poley ; candidates, Misses Kirkham. Feneker and Arnold; tearoom, Mrs Waterworth assisted by members. Miss Leipst won the nail driving competition.
