HASTINGS HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Hastings Horticultural Society, held last night. Mr. AV. Hart occupied the chair.

The balance-sheet showed that the receipts for last year, including £l4 8/10 in hand at the beginning of the year, amounted to £7B 18/1, and the expenditure £53 5/10, leaving a credit balance of £25 12/3. There were, however, liabilities outstanding in respect of the two previous years, working of the society, which were in excess of the amount in hand by some £2O or £3O. The bal-lance-sheet was passed subject to audit.
