A targe meeting of miners at Huntly last night disenssed the rc•ceAnmendations of the deputation -appointed to approach the employers to resume work to-day, pending settlement of demands fur all-round increases. The matter was argued at great length. The chairman. S. Dixon, who is president of the union, pointed vat that the directors pioiuised that when settlement was reached they would make the increase retrospective to the time ef resumption of work. Out of 390 men in the bui ding when the motion fur resumption ut work was put. abou< seventy voted for and twenty against, the re mainder abstained from toting.
