Jt is very seldom that a comic film can he placed at the head of a modern picture programme, bitt this can saiely be done with “Mabel’s Nerve,’ a remarkable Keystone comedy included in the current programme at the Crystal Pictures. Mabel, the star of the Keystone Company, as usual takes a prominent part, and shows her clever horsemanship by riding Suicide, the outlaw of her landlord’s ranch. Other interesting features of the programme are: “When lion and Steel Meet” (drama). “Pay de Dome” (scenic), and the latest number of the Gaumont Graphic. PRINCESS THEATRE, HASTINGS. That things are again assuming their normal state was evident by the large attendances at the picture houses last evening. “The Dare-devil Detective” and its supporting films again proved their merit last evening, and were loudly applauded. The latest film of the big picture detective Hayes is a very interesting production, the setting of which is a special feature. It is perhaps advisable to remind patrons that (he Topical Budget, which includes a review of the famous Belgian troops, is the first picture on the programme. Many have missed this very interesting item through being late. This fine programme will bo shown for the last time in Hastings to-night.
