Shanghai advices confirm tne re port that two German cruisers were brought into Hong Kong in a battered condition, their deck-works, turrets. barbettes demolished and masts and funnels shot away. London. Aug. t 9. It is reported that the Blucher one of Germany's strongest cruisers is interned at Pernambuco. Brazil. The Blucher is a vessel of 15,800 tons armed with twelve 8.2 inch and other smaller guns. THE GOEBEN INCIDENT. THE ALLIES’ DEMAND. Paris, Aug. 20. It is reported that rhe Goeben and Breslau incident is not vet closed. Steps will be taken to secure from Turkey a positive answer as to whether she is intending to obey orders from Berlin or to remain strictly neutral. BADLY WINGED.
