Bryan, Secretary of State, speaking at the National Foreign Trade Convention, warned American manufacturers that the Government cannot assume responsibility for Americans who engage in enterprises beyond the I nited States, boundaries. The I nited States would support citizens engaged legitimately in lhe trade of foreign countries if an injustice were done to them, but manufacturers must not expect interference by force, or menace of force, m i.tli’ countries’ affairs.
