COUGH MIXTURE RECIPE.

FOR HOME USE. By a Qualified Chemist. There is wafer and sweetening in every family cough mixture. But you can add the water and sugar just as easily us it can be done in a factory. All you really need to buy is the starting point — the necessary medicinal ingredients, or the actual "essence” of the mixture—Heun’s Essence. Did you ever think of that? You can easily make about 12s. worth of cough mixture by using the following splendid recipe. It makes a pint of cough mixture good for all members of the family. It is good for grandparents, grandchildren, and all the ages in between. It brings the cost of an eighteenpenny bottle of cough mixture down to less than fourpence. Obtain from your chemist or grocer one bottle of Hean’s Essence, mix it with sugar, treacle, and water, as per easy directions on the label. Pour into a large clean bottle and keep ready for use. It lasts a long time and never spoils. The dose is from a few drops to a spoonful, according to the age and requirements. This excellent recipe takes hold of a cough and soothes a sore throat more quickly than anything else you have ever tried. It has a good tonic effect and is slightly laxative.
