[OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Mrs. B. Waldron, of Ormondville, is at present an inmate of the local hospital to undergo an operation for appendicitis. Mr. George Hunter return from Dannevirke and district on Thursday. Air. M. D. Smith, of the legal firm of Hewitt and Mackie, will join the Napier branch of the firm in the course of a few days. Mr. Norrie, of the Wellington S.M. Court, is relieving here during the absence of Mr. Baker. The Waipukurau junior football team will meet Te Ante juniors on Saturday, but it is not decided whaf ground yet. Mrs. J. A. Rosewarne (Napier) will sing "My Heart is Heavy” (Goring Thomas) and “ The Lord is my Light ” (Allitson) at the Orchestral Society’s concert on Wednesday < veiling next. June 3rd. Wednesday next, will be observed as a close holiday by the post c.ffice. Mails usually despatched on Wednesday will close at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The telephone exchange will be open from 8 a.in." to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m to 8 p.m. There will be a << ( >nnfer delivery between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. ■
