THE GROSVENOR-SQUARE CAT.
There is a large black eat which for five years has sat every day beside the policeman on point duty at tho corner of Grosvenor-square. only moving away when tho constable in charge has retired from his post at one a.m. The cat, which is known to thousands of Londoners, has, savs tho London correspondent of the "Manchester Guardian,” developed mange, to the great concern of the public in general and the police force in particular. A special pot of ointment has been subscribed for. The cat. the correspondent says, belongs to a Peer’s house round the comer, but he only goes home for an occasional saucer of milk and snends "the rest of kin time with the police.
