HAVELOCK NORTH.
At a special meeting of the Have lock Town Board last evening, the chairman gave notice to move '‘That a rate of 2d. in the £ be struck to provide interest and sinking fund for the proposed loans.’’ It was decided at last night's meeting of the board to increase the clerk’s salary from £.50 to £lOO for tt period of twelve months, at the expiration of which the matter will lie again considered.
