CLIVE GRANGE BEACH.

A meeting of the Clive Grange Beach Committee was held in ’the Carlton Club Hotel, Hastings, last evening. Mt. (\ . Hart preHdcd. and the members present were Messrs. .1. T. Blake, R. Stanley, Watson. Mudgway, J. Adamson, A. Starley. (J. 1-. Roaeli, H. K. Thomson and E. A. Watkins. Mr. L. J. Mackcrsey’s resignation from the secretaryship w.is gecepod with regret and it was resolved to write thanking him for hi< past str vices. Messrs. Blake. Watkins and Adamson were appointed a sub-commit tee to arrange for a bathing shed. The incoming secretrirv was insi meted to write to th:' Commissioner of Crown Lands in reference t<i Hu' 1 raii'fcr of waste land which the committee was desirous to improve. It was also decided to a;k (he Hawke's R.-iy County Coum-il n> widen the Grange toad at the pohn where the poplars stand, and to improve the road near the bridge oxer the lagoon. Mr. Watson Io accompany the overseer and point out where the repairs are needed. Mr. C. Bennett is to be asked to dedicate to the committee the see tion giten by him, so that subscriptions may be raised for improvements.
