NF.W SOUTH IVALES. THE LABOUR SPLIT. [PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT.) (Received 9. 9.25 a.m.) Sydney, Nov. 9. The President of the Labour Council declares that Mr. Beebv is not turned down. He denies receiving any official communication from the Labour Executive regarding referenda. He says he does not support any proposal for transference of commerce power to the Commonwealth. THE GAS BILL. The Hon. A. C. Carmichael announced that no action of the Gas Company in dismissing men or statements calculated to intrude the affairs of the Gasmen’s Union would be allowed to affect the Bill now before Parliament.
