The Education Department ac knowledged a copy of a resolutior regarding a proposal to have a universal examination for plumbers certificates, with a diploma that would be recognised throughout th< Dominion. —Received. ; Seven students belonging to the ! wooi-sorting class called attention tc the inadequate provision made foi i carrying on the class on Saturdays I and made a number of suggestions ! regarding the fitting up of rooms, etc. —It was decided to make ar rangements to carry on this class at Port Ahurii i. and to use the present wool-classing room as a typewriting room. Mr. S. Wood, instructor of woolclassing. forwarded his annual re- ; port (previously published).—Re ■ eeived ; Mr. Wood to be congratui lated. ! The director's report and the annual report of the representative of the Education Department were ap pre i ed. LUNCH FOR MANAGERS. The chairman stated that the I director was anxious that the management ami the Press should test the quality of the domestic work Ijy means of a dinner cooked by the students of this department of the college. He thought it was a .splendid idea, as it would give an opportunity for judging how the domestic department was progressing. The director issued an invitation to the managers to be present next Thursday at mid-day.
