TECHNICAL AND HIGH i SCHOOLS. ; DIFFICULTIES OF FINANCE. Wellington. Sept. 23. Replying to a deputation from the \\ angatmi Education Board, the Minister said he was not prepared l<. sav definitely what he would rewi nmend as to technical scholars ::id disestablishment of District High Schools, but did think they .v-ght to get more for the amount spent on technical education than ildid at present. He might posCblv make a recommendation to Cabinet on the subject. He had been advised not to carry out disestab Hshinent of high schools without leg islation. The whole difficulty was one of finance. It was difficult to comply in all requests for new buildings and residence s.
