HEAT WAVE.
INFANT MORTALITY IN CANADA. (Received 10, 11.30 a.m.) Montreal. July 9. A heat wave is causing the deaths of hundreds of children. Terrific temperatures are recorded and there is much suffering. DEATHS IN THE STATES. New York, July 9. Many death from heat are recorded throughout the United States. Temperature records have been broken in many cities and hailstorms and thunderstorms have occurred in many States.
