The Hastings Fire Brigade met m Flynn’s Hotel last evening. Foreman R. Henderson in the chair. Il was decided to vote in favour of Pa’. .... North being the locale of
the conference and competitions. Engineer Leipst reported on the conference recently held at Dannvirke in connection with the United District Fire Brigades Association competitions, and was accorded a vote of thanks. was decided to hold the annual ball on the evening of the first day of the Hawke’s Bay June races. The, secretary was instructed to write to the Hastings Fire Board regarding a system of fire alarms foi the town. , A motion of condolence was passed -ith the Wellington City I’ire Brigade in the death of Fireman Arclean who was electrocuted at a reent fire at the metropolis. The meeting then adjourned.
