RECENT COAL STRIKE.
FEDERATION GETS ANGRY. [PRESS ASSOCIATION COPYRIGHT.) London, April 14. The price of coal -n London has fallen 10/- per ton. Mr. Watts Morgan ,fhe Rhondda miners’ agent, declared that unless the enginemen were mere reasonable the federation would be under the painful necessity of telling members to take the place of the enginemen and stokers. . * MINERS FRATERNISE WITH SOLDIERS. (Received 15. 8.4 U a.m.) London, April J 4. Miner-, at Leigh, Lancashire, entertained the soldiers sent to maintain orders. The soldiers to-day inarched to church headed by the Leigh Naval and Army Veterans’ Band. ENGINEMEN RESUME WORK. Two hundred enginemen at Bargoed have resumed. The enginemen at C'wvmaii colliery, Aberdare, are resuming tomorrow. IRRESPONSIBLE STATEMENTS DENOUNCED. TRANSPORT WORKERS’ ATTITUDE. London. April 14. The District Committee of the Transport Workers’ Federation and the executive of the Dockers’ Union passed resolutions denouncing the irresponsible statements of the possibility of a general strike of transport workers early in the summer. They added that they did not intend to discuss the question.
