TARADALE TOWN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Taradale Town Board was held last evening. Present: Messrs. L. S. McDonald (chairman), J. R. Martin, P. Dolbel, J. Eddy, and T. Alexander. The N.Z. Dreadnought Gas Company, Limited, wrote stating that the'work of fitting up the neces.-ary apparatus for lighting the town hall had been put in hand. —Received. The Napier South Town Board wrote asking for certain information with regard to rating.—lnformation has been supplied. Thomas W. Manley wrote offering to sell the flags used in the recent celebrations at the opening of the Town Hall for £l.—Messrs. Dolbel and Martin were appointed to deal with the matter.

The Kennedy Road Furnishing Co. wrote asking payment for seats supplied to the new Town Hall.—Messis Howard. McDonald, Martin, and Alexander were appointed to inspect the furniture, and if the work is found to be satisfactory the full amount owing is to be paid immediately. The Manager of the Napier branch of the Bank of New Zealand wtole stating that at Hie request of the Wellington office he enclosed paid coupons Nos. 1 to 4 (inclusive) for interest due at Wellington on the Ist inst. to a total value of £ls.—Received.
