Mr. and Mrs. 11. Guthri<-Smith arrived back from Gisborne last night and are staying at the Masonic Hotel, Napier. Air. W. 11. Buswelh the recently unpointed electrical engineer t<> th' 1 Gisborne Boiongh Council, has entered upon his duties > Mr. Horace Baker is at present .' ! laid up in eamp with a severe attack of pneumonia. He is being attended by Dr. Godfray of Waipnkuran.
The Rev. J. A. Lush, who takes charge of the Parish of Havelock North, arrived bv the mail train last night, and is staying at Bishopseourt. The coach for Wairoa this morning contained the following passengers: - Mr*. Young: Messrs. Bockett. Houston, R. Simin and H. McKenzie.
