The Australasians .defeated England by three goals and ten tries to one- goal and two tries. There were four thousand spectators. England made an excellent start, scoring two tries. The Australasians then became agressivc and scored three times in quick succession. At half time the Australasians were 1 1 and England 8. In the second spell the visitors spiritedly outplaced the home team. IRELAND DEJEATS FRANCE. Paris, Jan. 1. ■ At the Rugby game, Ireland defeat cd France by 11 points to 6.
