KING'S THEATRE, HASTINGS. A fair house witnessed the screening of the programme at the King’s last evening. The pictures shown again delighted the audience, and applause was the order of the evening. Bathe’s Australian Gazette is full of interesting events. All children should see “ A Tragedy in Toyland,'’ and “Cockatoos” is also an interesting film. The dramas “ Voice of the Violin.” “ 'l'he Buried Past,” and the cowboy drama “Spirit of the West,” are ail excellent subjects. The comics, “ Toto without Water,’” “ Tweedledum’s White Suit,” and “ Tontoline learns Dancing,” are all “ side-splitters,” and greatly amused the audience. PRINCESS THEATRE, HASTINGS. The Napier views screened last night were particularly good, most interest, of course, being taken in the Breakwater picture, showing the structure being bombarded by huge waves, which come toppling over in rapid succession. It made a most impressive picture, and probably’ raised doubts in the minds ol the audience as to the feasibility of making the Breakwater into a harbour. The trawling industry was also very good, and took the onlooker right from the .departure from the Inner Harbour until the fish were placed on the market. Other good scenes were the Marine Parade, Hastings street, Emerson street, and various public buildings. This film will be repeated to-night, in conjunction with a number of other pictures, including the pantomime, “ Fortune favours the Brave.” FIREWORKS DISPLAY.
