COASTAL OFFICERS’ STRIKE.
Wanganui, Oct. 16. The strike is causing great inconvenience here ‘and unless settled within a few days several industries will have closed down. The strike has been of benefit to potato growers here, who had fairly large supplies on hand, as they are able to quit at improved prices owing to the nonarrival of Southern orders.
